AC-63S Calamity in USAF 16th Special Operations Squadron livery.
The Sentry Aerospace N-600V MRCS Assault Archelon, or AC-63S Calamity gunship for USAF designation, is a heavily-armed ground-attack aircraft.
The basic airframe is manufactured by Sentry Aerospace, and Lambda Corporation is responsible for the conversion into a gunship and for aircraft support. It is a variant of the C-63S Super Continental haryopanji.deviantart.com/art/… transport plane. The AC-63S Calamity far superseded the AC-130 Spooky II.
Armed with two 25 mm GAU-22/A tail cannons, two 25 mm CIWS self defense cannons, two Combo Cannons each with single 25 mm GAU-12 Equalizer and one Bofors 40mm auto cannon, and All Direction Multipurpose Missile (ADMM for short) advanced multirole micro missile system, replacing planned two 105 mm M102 side howitzer cannons.
The all new ADMM pods (based on CFA-44 Nosferatu main weapon) includes Drive Missiles that can engage both air and ground targets (even at the same time) in each launch and Micro Burst Missiles, a modified and compacted version of the burst missiles, that splitting into multiple micro warheads and detonating in massive explosions in mid-air, destroying anything below 5,000 feet within several hundred feet of ground zero.
The primary role of the AC-63S gunships is for close air support, air interdiction, air missions, bombing raid, and force protection. Close air support roles include supporting ground troops, escorting convoys, and flying urban operations. Air interdiction missions are conducted against planned targets and targets of opportunity. Force protection missions include defending air bases and other facilities.
