The SCA are usually used to ferry space shuttles from landing sites back to the launch complex, but in this case is used as experimental airborne launcher. Carrying Pegasus orbiter in higher altitude, then released it. The Pegasus can carry on her journey to earth's orbit by her own powerful engines.

I don't know the Pegasus exact dimension, I scale it from its cockpit design and compare its fuselage to others famous American and Russian space shuttle. The Pegasus is the coolest orbiter design.
