My tribute for the newest ACE COMBAT series: ACE COMBAT Infinity, The sky is YOURS!

The QFA-44 Carmilla is a modified variant of the CFA-44 Nosferatu featured in Ace Combat Infinity.

Description courtesy of acecombat.wikia.com:

In the Infinity universe, the CFA-44 Nosferatu was created by an unknown country. The USEA Federation acquired a number of these Nosferatus and modified them to act as UAVs rather than being flown by a pilot. They were loaded with the Camilla program, and can command a group of MQ-90Ls to defend it from any attacks. QFA-44s were used by USEA in at least three operations during Operation Eternal Liberation, most notably Operation Override.

Camilla is an unidentified entity (believed to be a young human female or an AI program) that has utilized QFA-44s and MQ-90Ls against the United Nations Forces. Camilla is known to speak English through an open military radio channel, and is paired with Gamer who can assume control of Camilla's QFA-44s.

The Nosferatu uses a variety of experimental weapon systems and derivaties of exisisting Soviet weapons. It is mainly armed with a variant of the AA-11 Archer missile, which are carried on external pylons on the wings, and uses dual Gryazev-Shipunov GSh-30-1 autocannons mounted on wing roots. The origin of the missiles is suspected as either Russian or a license-built design.

A prominent feature of the CFA-44 is the use of vertical internal weapon bays, with two compartments on the upper midsection and one between the intakes in the ventral area. It is compatible with electromagnetic launchers, experimental anti-aircraft railguns designed for long range engagements, and triple launch pods for All Direction Multi-Purpose Missiles to engage multiple targets. In addition, it has an integral ECM system.

The QFA-44 was developed in the 2000s or 2010s under unknown circumstances from conventional CFA-44s, which were modified to operate by remote control via a low-orbit satellite network through the COFFIN system. An undetermined number of fighters had their cockpits replaced with a gunmetal-colored armored canopy housing the required satellital reception hardware, and were painted in an distinctive white and blue livery. The aircraft were intended to operate with MQ-90 Quox escorts, but retained the ability to engage in combat if so desired.

The full name of the aircraft and the existence of the COFFIN system were discovered by Arrows Air Defense and Security after interrogating members of the Ater Squadron shot down over B7R. An operation to destroy the satellite network behind COFFIN was proposed by the company, but was not launched over opposition posed by South America.

Specifications:

Length: 66'11" (20.40m)
Wingspan: 40'8" (12.40m)

God, Carmilla rubbed me the wrong way. Good artwork though.
