IFX-35E (Strike) Cygnus

The IFX-35E based from the IFX-35D, it's a two side-by-side seat variant, all-weather fighter-bomber version with "mild" stealth capability, long-range interdictor, and tactical strike aircraft that also filled the roles of strategic bomber, reconnaissance, and electronic warfare in its various versions. Also intended for high-precision strikes on land and sea targets at any time of day and weather.

The reverse-engineered, under licenced, Russian version of the IFX-35E become the Sukhoi Su-56M (Russian: Сухой Су-56M, NATO reporting name: Falcon). With similar capability, only difference is additional wing tip rail missile launcher and cockpit wind shield design.
Designed to collaborate mission with current, even replaced the Su-34 Fullback.

The aircraft shares most of its wing structure, tail, and engine nacelles with the IFX-35C/D Cygnus/Su-53SM/55SM Frigate, with canards like the IFX-35D to increase static instability (higher manoeuvrability) and to reduce trim drag. The aircraft has an entirely new nose and forward fuselage with a cockpit providing side-by-side seating for a crew of two, even four (depends on the mission) in multi-purpose cabin compartment behind the cockpit partition. Also has a longer "sting", which houses a magnetic anomaly detector (MAD) sensor (Navy version) and rearward-facing warning radar. And it had stronger landing gear to compensate for the higher maximum takeoff weight

Just like the Su-34, the advantage of the side by side cockpit is that duplicate instruments are not required for each pilot. Since long missions require comfort, the pressurization system allows operation in high altitude without oxygen masks, which are available for emergencies and combat situations. The crew members have room to stand and move about the cabin during long missions. The space between the seats allows them to lie down in the corridor, if necessary, a toilet and a galley are located behind the crew seats.

The IFX-35E Strike Cygnus/Su-56M Falcon is powered by the LTF 3000V-3D, the same engines with the IFX-35D, but its maximum speed is lower at Mach 2.5+ when fully loaded.

The aircraft has a three surface planform, with a conventional horizontal tail at the rear and a pair of canard foreplanes in front of the wings for extra lift and more maneuvering power. The 10-12 hardpoints for up to more than 12,000 kilograms of ordnance, intended to include the latest precision-guided weapons.

The IFX-35E/Su-56M's most distinctive feature is the unusually large flight deck. Much of the design work went into crew comfort. The two crew members sit side by side in a large cabin, with the pilot-commander to the left and navigator/operator of weapons to the right side. Some version even include two to four extra seats, (much like Lockheed S-3 Viking Variants).
 
Because of the large flight deck redesign, it relocated the main GAU-22/A Equalizer 25 mm (0.984 in) 4-barreled gatling cannon or 30 mm GSh-30-1 cannon for Russian version.
