Description
The Cygnus is a family of twin Hybrid Pulse Detonation - Afterburning Turbofans engine multi-role mild stealth aircraft.
There are three primary variants of the German's Cygnus; the Cygnus IDS (interdictor/strike) fighter-bomber, the suppression of enemy air defences - the Cygnus ECR (electronic combat/reconnaissance), and the Cygnus ADF (air defence variant) interceptor.
The Cygnus was developed and built by Sentry Alliance, a tri-national consortium consisting of Airtech (previously IPTN), EADS (previously MBB of Germany), and Sukhoi of Russian. Due to its multirole nature, it was able to replace several different fleets of aircraft in the adopting air forces.
Cygnus ECR
Operated by German Air Force, the ECR is a Cygnus variant devoted to Suppression of Enemy Air Defences (SEAD) missions. The ECR has sensors to detect radar usage and is equipped with anti-radiation missiles.

Equipped with internal rotary launcher with a wide variety of ordnance, including air to air missiles, air to surface missiles, air to ground missiles, bombs, and FAEs, or fuel air explosives.
The two center wing equiped with Advanced Recon-Multi Detection sensors, and High-Low Band Jamming Pods.

Flares/infrared decoys dispenser pod.
chaff pods.
Electronic countermeasures (ECM) pods.
LITENING III laser targeting pod.
Up to 2 drop tanks for ferry flight or extended range/loitering time.
